Umno Youth lodges report against PKR reps over sand mining

(The Star) – Selangor Umno Youth has lodged a police report over the alleged involvement of two Pakatan Rakyat assemblymen over sand mining in the state.

Its chief Ungku Mat Salleh Ungku Jamal lodged a police report at Section 9, Shah Alam police station. The wing will also lodge another report at MACC headquarters on Monday.

It was reported that Malaysia Today editor Raja Petra Kamarudin has accused two Pakatan Rakyat assemblymen of being involved in a sand mining scandal in Selangor.

Raja Petra claimed that the assemblymen were registered as directors of the company, which applied to mine sand in Dengkil.

On Wednesday, Raja Petra also alleged that Datuk Patrick Wong, who was said to have been gathering evidence on the sand mining scandal in Selangor, was murdered in 2009 by hired killers and not because of a robbery as claimed.
